It’s a little worrisome that Miranda Lambert, the ex-wife of Blake Shelton, saw his current wife, Gwen Stefani, perform with her band No Doubt during its residency at Sphere in Las Vegas before her husband did.
But Shelton did eventually show up. He talked about his wife’s performance on social media yesterday, May 24.
What Did Blake Shelton Think of the Show?
Shelton explained that he “finally got a night off” to see Stefani and No Doubt perform. He posted his thoughts on Instagram, along with photos showing him cheering from the audience.
“So proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the @nodoubt guys for working their asses off and putting on this hell of a show,” he wrote. “Un-freaking-real.”
Another clip showed Shelton getting a No Doubt jacket after the show. There is also a pic of Shelton giving Stefani a hug.
In Shelton’s defense, he just finished his own Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. Several of his shows went on the same time as Stefani’s, who began her residency with No Doubt on May 6. The band’s 18-performance reunion will end on June 13.
What Did Miranda Lambert Think of Gwen Stefani’s Show?
Last weekend, Lambert posted a video of herself enjoying Stefani and No Doubt. In the clip, Lambert has a smile from ear to ear, dancing and singing along to “Spiderwebs.”
She said that No Doubt was “sooooo good!” She then added, “What a ride!”
In case you didn’t know, Stefani met Shelton during the seventh season of The Voice. At the time, she was married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, with whom she shares three kids. Shelton was married to Lambert during this period.
The two then worked on the singing competition show during the next (8th) season, while each of them was going through a divorce. The two grew close and, in November 2015, they officially became a couple.
Shelton said, “Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can’t even imagine the similarities in our divorces.”
Stefani and Shelton were officially married on July 3, 2021, while Lambert married Brendan McLoughlin on Jan. 26, 2019.
Many believe that Lambert’s divorce from Shelton was the inspiration for her song “Tin Man.”
“Whatever influenced you the most at whatever time of your life, in some way or another, comes out in your art. The ‘Tin Man,’ I guess, going through a lot of times where I felt pretty empty, I understood a whole new meaning,” the singer said.
